I am late to discover Patti Callahan, didn’t even know she was there to be discovered. This has been happening a lot since I opened lala books. I now realize how narrow my reading of the past 10-20 years has been, focused on educational writers and middle grade novels. It has been a joy to discover the wonderful authors that have been quietly waiting for me to take the time.
